Stansted Airport
In recent years Stansted has seen a considerable increase in passenger numbers. There is capacity for more, but some fundamental changes were agreed to be necessary.
As part of this work, the check-in hall and baggage facilities are being completely reconfigured to provide more hosted check-in desks as well as an increased self-service provision.
Gate Technologies has provided a more fluid, row layout to replace the island configuration. We worked alongside Robson Handling to develop and implement the concept.
The new counters have integral LED lighting to help guide passengers and assist check-in staff, whilst the lighting at the back wall is linked to and controlled by the building management system.
