Riyadh Airport
Gate Technologies AF was contracted by METCO to design, manufacture and supply a range of airport furniture totalling 283 units for the newly renovated terminals.
Also known simply as Riyadh airport, the terminals, designed by US-based architecture-engineering firm HOK, first opened in 1983.
The renovation was comprehensive and the building was stripped back to the bare structure before being rebuilt internally.
The new terminal furniture delivered by Gate Technologies AF is made to a bespoke design and very high specification, constructed from solid surface material with contrasting stainless steel features.
With the total value of the project in excess of GBP 1.2m, we supplied the following counters:

- 86 x passport booths
- 54 x departure gate desks
- 16 x VIP check-in counters
- 50 x general counters
- 1 x info counter
